The brace treatment process

Discover what to expect during brace treatment at Colchester Orthodontic Centre:

During your initial consultation with our Specialist Orthodontist, we will examine your teeth and take a 3D scan of your smile with our iTero scanner.
Our Specialist Orthodontist will then create your custom treatment plan that will take you from start to finish with treatment.
We will fit your teeth with the braces by securing the brackets to your teeth and attaching the archwire with small elastics.

You will be instructed on how to care for your braces, and we will ask you to watch a short video on maintaining your braces.
You will need to visit our practice for regular appointments so that we can adjust your braces as necessary and keep your progress on track.
Once your braces are ready to come off, you will need to wear a retainer to keep your newly aligned teeth in place. We have removable and fixed retainer options.

How do I clean my teeth with fixed braces?
