Hidden braces (Lingual)
For secret straightening.
These smart braces can move teeth just as precisely as conventional fixed braces but, as they are attached discreetly to the inside (lingual) surface of the teeth, they are hardly visible at all. We use the Incognito system because it is less irritating to the tongue and causes fewer speech problems.
- Almost completely hidden from view
- Can precisely move crooked teeth
- We take accurate impressions of your teeth so custom-made brackets can be produced. These are then fitted neatly to the lingual surface of your teeth.
- A thin wire is attached to the brackets and this creates the force that will gently pull your teeth into line.
Brace extra bits
It can take a little while to get used to your Hidden braces (Lingual) as they are fixed on the ‘tongue side’ of the teeth. This can be a problem for some people as a lingual brace can cause tongue irritation. It’s something you need to take into account before choosing a lingual brace.
As these smart braces are well hidden, food may get trapped on the concealed brackets, so it’s a good idea to brush your teeth after every meal and see a hygienist regularly.
Keep your smile straight
Don’t forget, you will need to wear a retainer following any kind of treatment with braces to keep newly aligned teeth in line.
